Restaurant (Mosaic)

Mosaic was officially opened in December 2004 following many months of intense collective community input. The skills of our builders, carpenters, painters, designers - in fact all our people - were put to the test as the Lord led us in the design of this beautiful work of art which truly bears witness to a living and creative God.  As the name suggests, the project was a collection of ideas and skills from many different people within the community and continues to maintain its name as most of the community is involved in some way or another whenever Mosaic opens its doors to the public.  It provides an excellent opportunity for us to show hospitality and excellence to many and our prayer is always that God would touch the hearts of the unbelievers which visit us here.

Mosaic is a gourmet restaurant and has quickly received acclaim for its high standard of service and excellent food. An independent review by Eat Out Magazine said the following:

“The opening of Mosaic has taken Limpopo's cuisine to new heights. Literally. Set high on the slopes of Modjadjiskloof, with awesome views of the Lowveld, Mosaic is a trendy, glass-walled restaurant set under a huge old fig tree that now opens on request for special occasions and private functions. The food is classical with a contemporary twist, leaning towards gourmet fusion, and features unusual dishes like blue cheese and biltong soups, prawn skewers done with pineapple and mature fillet sealed in brandy and oven baked. The lamb shanks with mash are heavenly, as is the seafood tagliatelle. Everything at Mosaic is organically grown and the style favours slow cooking, reduction sauces and as much home-made stuff as possible."

The meals are a la carte (meals can be pre-arranged for group bookings) and our resident band provides live entertainment. It is open to the general public twice a month and is also available for a host of private functions including weddings, birthdays and office functions. We also offer get-away packages where groups not only enjoy Mosaic, but also sleep over for a night or two on the farm.
