Testimonies - David

God has changed my life. I grew up as the child of missionaries in West Africa and so from young I knew about Jesus our Saviour. But moving back to Switzerland when I was 8 exposed me to many negative things.

By 13 I was involved with drugs, drinking and theft. By 16 I rebelled against God and left everything to do with church. This was the beginning of a time outside of God’s wonderful plan. Those were dark days ….

The longing of my heart was for peace, joy and freedom; but everything I tried failed. Wherever I looked in the world and whatever I tried could not give me the fulfilment I was looking for. But I still did not want to accept that Jesus was the One I needed.

And so my heart became very cold, I enjoyed doing evil things. Satan had a plan of destruction for my life. But one day God intervened and saved me from death.

Jesus promised to set me free and I have taken Him at His word. The Lord has done miracles in my heart. My relationship with God, something I once walked away from, is now the lifeline of my life. He has given me a new life with a future for which I am very excited.
