Testimonies - Danny & Stephanie

Danny:

Years ago God gave me the scripture: “For I know the plans I have for you” declares the LORD “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” When I was younger I lost hope and I could not see any future for myself. However God brought me to South Africa from Denmark. This was His doing as I initially came only to my sister’s wedding and some holiday. Soon I joined the Alôn community and over time the Lord has set me free from many fears and insecurities. Today I am married to Stephanie and we have two beautiful children, Mathew and Daniella.

Stephanie:

Having grown up with an alcoholic father had a profound impact on my life.  My father and I had no real relationship at all and I was fearful about many things. Consequently I was a very mixed up kid when I first arrived at Alôn farm. My father came to salvation in Jesus and on a visit to the farm we had a wonderful reconciliation, both asking and giving one another forgiveness for things that had happened. This has been a key to much restoration in my life. My father passed away in December of 2006. And yet despite the alcoholism of the past and all the trauma we went through in our family I have so much to be thankful for. The Lord changed my father, restored my relationship with him and continues to work in my life...
