‘The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in the spirit’ (Psalm 34:18). ‘You turned my mourning into dancing, you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy’ (Psalm 30:11).
Jesus is true to His Word. In 2006 my husband died unexpectedly of a heart attack. My whole world crumbled in an instant, but Jesus remained the Rock of Ages. My beloved who I leaned heavily upon. Today I can say Jesus has healed my broken heart and placed me in a beautiful family of Believers. ‘God sets the lonely in families’ (Psalm 68:6). Here within the Alon family my life is purposeful and as a widow, I am never lonely. As Stef, my husband was called to heaven, Jesus has helped me to continue in His call upon my life here on planet Earth.
