Christine and I met at
Alon during 2001 and were married at the Alon kibbutz in December of 2001.
We came from very different family backgrounds, but saw that God knew best
to put us together as a team. We both had a word that “God puts the lonely
in families” and for us that was very real. As time went on we decided to
start with a family, but found that Christine was not able to have
children. It was a great disappointment to both of us, because we were
excited about having a family and sharing our lives with our children.
However, we decided to trust in the Lord and hold on to a promise God made
to our leaders in the founding years of the community . “There will be no
barrenness on the land” (Isaiah). We prayed and asked God
for a miracle of healing. God was so faithful and Christine fell pregnant,
giving birth to a healthy baby boy, Sean. We now also have two daughters,
Mikka and Emma and really thank God for His miracles. This and many other
experiences on the road of following God have taught us to trust Him and
to believe Him for his best. I (Scha) am a partner in a successful
accounting business and Christine works at our business park for the law
firm. We thank God daily to be part of His plan where he has put us, and
for the blessing of being with like-minded people going forward in the
plan of God. |
