Testimony of Richard & Fabienne

Richard: I finished school in 1996 and had no direction or real purpose in life. Although not much was happening in the life of this ‘small-town-boy’, Jesus saved me from a life that was going nowhere. Now my life is one of new doors of opportunity opening up all the time. Practically I have been part of the painting team that does exclusive interior design work and I am currently a chef at the gourmet Yum-Yum restaurant in town (Tzaneen) as part of the Alon business park and also a chef at Alon’s Mosaic restaurant during shows and functions held at Alon farm. Neither of these jobs I had thought of before, but I love them both. God has given me the very best in every area of life, including a beautiful wife, Fabienne - late in 2008. Here is her story....

Fabienne: I had everything, but nothing! I had a good job, enough money to go wherever I wanted and lots of friends. I thought I had everything that is needed to be happy. However, on the inside I felt empty and restless. So I searched for fun and peace, but oftentimes in the wrong things. The direction my life was taking was going nowhere. In 2006 I heard about Alon and now I just thank Jesus for bringing me here. Truly I have been saved out of a foolish way and God has given me new purpose in life. Now I have peace, joy, hope and direction for my life I never knew before. God has led me into something beautiful. To be a Christian is not boring or just traditions, but God is alive! In Him I have a future; I am very excited about this fact as a life with God is more meaningful and interesting than anything I could experience in the world.

We have a new member in our family – a baby boy – Reuben, born July 2010. We have seen God’s faithfulness and His rich provision in every aspect of our lives.
