Testimony of Liam Pringle

I can give all glory to God for what He has done for me. I grew up without really knowing my father – my parents got divorced when I was 4 or 5 years old. I’ve  tried  filling the emptiness in my life with drugs, drinking, stealing, etc. I ran away from the people who cared for me, only to realize I was alone...until the day came when things changed: I was robbed and beaten up. I found myself in a hospital bed hearing a nurse telling me that if I don’t stop my nonsense I will end up dead. Which got me thinking Why am I still alive? A few weeks later, I moved back home and I’ve tried to getting my life sorted out, but couldn’t. I needed help. That night I had a dream of leaving the city. The next day I heard about Alon and I just knew I had to go and see what’s happening there. I came for a week, when God touched my heart, showing me His love and the love of a father. I joined the community in April 2005. It has been an amazing journey so far. I gave my life to the Lord in July 2005 and have begun my new life in Christ, where daily tasks and challenges show me my need for God. I enjoy working in the Mechanics department, helping with some minor plumbing and interesting farming developments. Above all, I thank God for His goodness to me. Through all these things I was doing damage to myself and people around me. The beginning of new life was when I gave my life to Jesus. Not only did He save me but placed me in a wonderful family with brothers and sisters who have helped me so much. Daily the relationship between us is one of encouragement and challenge. I really enjoy being able to live and work in peace and unity around me with those around me and I am full time in the mechanics department on the farm where we service vehicles, fix motors etc. etc. I am also in an apprenticeship season in learning basic plumbing. Above all, I thank the Lord for His goodness to me.
