Little Oaks Children's Home

The word of God instructs us to care for the widow and the orphan. It has always been part of the vision of Alôn to nurture orphans and to provide a loving and stable environment in which young children can develop into fulfilled adults with a heart for the Lord.

The Little Oaks Children's Home was established for this very purpose. With a caring worforce, the children's home is able to provide love, parental guidance, education and a home for orphans of various ages. Every effort is made to ensure that all orphans receive the best physical, emotional and spiritual input. Children from various backgrounds are provided with a hope and a future!

Young orphans attend crèche during the day, while the older children attend the private school established on the farm (see school). Even though a separate building has been established for the children's home, the children are actively integrated into our community. Families at Alôn farm regularly become home to many of the orphans.

Children may be orphaned for various reasons, but often have extended families which are able to care for them. While our doors are open to all orphans, we firstly attempt to integrate orphans within their extended families before integrating them into our community. The result is that our orphans genuinely have no immediate or extended family.
