Bible School - Basic information for prospective students

At various times during the year volunteers / students come to the Alôn Farm in the hills above Tzaneen.

FEES:

For students who come here to serve God and to be discipled: full-board and lodging is R1500-00 per month. No extra fees are asked for tuition at Bible School, but on occasion there are extra expenses when going on outreach - depending on the destination. Pocket money is also one's own expense, e.g. toiletries, telephone and postage. However, we are a Christian work of faith and so we consider the circumstances of each person's situation, and are open to help where the Lord leads.

CURRICULUM:

Our focus is not only theoretical but also very practical - as we share our lives by working and living together we learn the ways of God in a very real environment. We do not follow a rigid school curriculum yet the flexibility of our lifestyle requires a sincere heart commitment. Departments on the practical level include: arts, dress-making, bee-keeping, carpentry & design, building and general maintenance e.g. plumbing, interior decorating, farming: fruit & vegetables, vehicle mechanics, kitchen and catering, garden work, music, children's creché and a home for orphans. We exist not as an alternative lifestyle or a kibbutz but we are primarily a place of discipleship, prayer and restoration of people's lives. Outreaches are oftentimes into Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia and more recently Malawi. We have a base in Somerset West [near Cape Town] which is also a point for outreach. We have an ocean going sailing boat which is often times in the Mediterranean Sea. Vision for God's unfolding plan for Israel and the Jewish people ensures a certain focus on the Middle East. Our home base is 30 minutes drive from Tzaneen in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. We'd love to hear from you.
