Alôn Farm

Alôn farm is located in the northern province of South Africa, just outside the small town of Tzaneen.

The Alôn ministries extend way beyond what happens on a daily basis on the farm which is our base, in fact it has become international in a few short years. In His time, perhaps soon, as the Lord unfolds His plan, we believe we will have a base established in the city of Jerusalem. Something to pray for!

At the moment we are very involved in different ways in the local community, we have doctors, lawyers, accountants, teachers, physiotherapists etc. all working on a daily basis in the town of Tzaneen or in the local community.

We have a bible school which runs according to the season and is very much taught "By the Spirit" i.e. What is taught is intended to make the students to become more aware of the ways of God and to be more surrendered to His voice and the practical outworking of their faith in Him. The focus of the school is not academic and the goal is not to equip the students with some certificate of achievement, which would simply enlarge their heads with knowledge about God. It is rather to pave the way for the operation of His word as a two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12) and by the ministry of the Holy Spirit to enlarge the students hearts and lives so that they can be better equipped for their calling in God's eternal purposes.

We often witness the powerful work of His Spirit as He uproots "age-old foundations" and prepares the soil of people’s hearts for the "planting of the Lord", and this is all done in the school and as we live our lives together under His ever present hand. It is an exciting part of the ministry on the base and we also enjoy the teaching of those who come in from the wider body for a season.

The base in Tzaneen is over 50 hectares of sub-tropical farm which is a mixture of agriculture and also indigenous bush which we have purposefully left to encourage the natural wildlife of the area e.g. bushpigs, porcupine, vervet monkeys, bushbuck and diverse bird life.

We have mainly sub-tropical fruit including mangoes, litchis, avocado's, paw-paw, banana and guava, macadamia and pecan nuts and even our own coffee plantation (but that's a secret).  We also grow our own herbs and vegetables.

Various smaller industries have been born over the years that provide the way for contact with the public: carpentry, designer furniture, interior decorating and art department continue to grow and provide finance in some way through the works of our hands in serving the public as a testimony.
